The utensil drawer is probably the most difficult space in the kitchen to keep organised. There are so many objects of different shapes and sizes, that not only are they difficult to store together, it can make it almost impossible to find what you are looking for.
The most common solution to this dilemma is to install drawer dividers. Allowing the space to be divided assists with storing items by size, which works well for a while, but eventually with the entire family using this drawer, items are moved into random places and the frustration in finding items, especially small ones, returns. But there is another solution that I find works a treat. [Read more…] about Never Misplace a Utensil with this Simple Idea
A Simple Way to Organise Sachet Packets
Sachet packets are notoriously difficult to organise in the pantry. They don’t tend to sit well on their own and if they are really small packets, lying them flat makes them almost impossible to see at a glance. The most common solution is to place them in a basket, which is a great way to prevent the dreaded slip and slide act they love to perform. But even in a basket, packets get mixed up when you are rummaging through trying to find the one you want. And how many times have you grabbed a packet, only to find that it has passed its use by date? Frustrating!! [Read more…] about A Simple Way to Organise Sachet Packets

1. Start with one space
If you have been thinking of decluttering your home for a while, but find the thought of where to begin too overwhelming, my advice is to start with one space. It doesn’t have to be an entire room, in fact a small space like a cupboard, is a perfect place to start. You might even find it helpful to divide your rooms into smaller spaces. It can also be helpful to write down your vision in dot points so that you don’t lose focus along the way. [Read more…] about 5 Steps to a Clutter Free Home
